Open it side ways, never up. Hold the septum with one hand and with the other push kindly the tinest part like you can see in the pictures. Once you put in the nose you can straighten it.
*CARE*
The brass, just like all the metals, has a natural process of oxidation in long terms of time. We suggest cleaning once in a while for getting back to original color.
