About Brass Metal & How to clean Brass Jewelry with a Homemade Solution

Brass Metal is an alloy of copper and zinc, an excellent material for Body Jewelry.  It has been used from remote antiquity in many populations and tribes for decorate body and face.

Brass jewelry does not rust with regular use, as it is corrosion-resistant. However, depending on the amount of copper used, it may turn green after some time.  Brass oxidation will also depend on your sweat, exposure to water or salty environments.

Do not use brass jewelry for excessively long times without cleaning them; we recommend to remove them at night for better piercing care.

HOW TO CLEAN BRASS JEWELRY?? DIY Cleaning solution

Cleaning brass jewelry is very easy. There’s a bunch of ways you can clean your Brass Jewelry, in this post we will share with you this two tips that we find very ecological and also a very cheap solution that you can make by yourself....

1. Use warm water with a small quantity of Natural soap on a damp cloth to clean them. Your brass pieces will return in new condition, just like when you bought them.

2. Our Favorite Tip: Use organic Apple Vinegar or White wine Vinegar. Mix 1/3 of vinegar with 2/3 of Water. Use this mix on a cloth to clean your Jewelry once a week or every time you need. This is actually an All Purpose Cleaner!! You can even use it for cleaning everything in your home!

HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT TO CHANGE MY PIERCING JEWELRY????

Never remove your Stainless Steel or Titanium Jewel until your piercing is healed. This depend on each person and your piercing area. It can be between 3 and 6 months period on a regular piercing.

DO NOT use brass Jewelry if your Piercing is not COMPLETELY Healed!!!

If you're experiencing itching, redness, or even a rash, you could be allergic to Brass Metal. Stop using it in that case.

****Organika Tribal is not responsible in case you have an infection or an allergic reaction.

It is your responsibility to have a good piercing care and to know if you are allergic to any material.

I am very happy to have found Mayan jade infinity necklace on your site. I had purchased one in the Yucatan two years ago – wore it daily. I accidentally broke it. Your replacement made its way to my home in Western Canada. I am back to wearing it daily. Thank you for the good service.
